INTRODUCING LINDY BOP - Swing in with 1940's & 1950's inspired clothing

Lindy Bop: Vintage reproduction clothing inspired by the 1940's and 1950's, available in sizes 8 — 26. They focus predominantly on dresses, with a strong lean towards a rockabilly aesthetic.

What inspired you to launch this as your business?
We had a passion for classic vintage clothing from these eras that flattered the female figure, and wanted to bring this to a larger audience.

What drew you to "vintage" & what is your favourite era and why?
We exclusively look to the forties and fifties. The fashions from these decades were focused on flattering women no matter what their size and silhouette were. We want all women to be able to feel beautiful in our clothes.

Who are the majority of your customers?
We sell to a wide range of women; from pin-up models and Rockabilly enthusiasts, to girls who love vintage styling and women who just want something different to what you can find on the high street.

Where do you supply to?
We sell worldwide, with the majority of our sales coming from the UK and USA.

What is your most popular item?
Our classic 'Audrey' dress is our best seller, available in a wide range of colours and prints. Our petticoats also sell incredibly well.

Do you use authentic vintage patterns and/or design your own patterns?
We design our own garments based on classic vintage styles. Our sizing is specific to each style of dress, but is adjusted to modern sizing.

How would you like to see your business grow & the Vintage Industry develop over the coming year(s)?
We have huge aspirations for Lindy Bop, and the business is growing rapidly. Over the coming years, our product range will be expanding to offer more than just dresses. We hope that the Vintage industry continues to go from strength to strength — more and more women are becoming attracted by vintage styling so we are confident that the industry will expand and evolve.
