PinUps Vintage hair & makeup specialists started out as a mobile before opening a Vintage Boutique Beauty Salon, which has been featured In Vintage Rock (Feb'15), Daily Record, BBC, STV and more. Miss Victory Rose tells us more..

What do you enjoy most about running your business?
I love coming to work every day and making all my clients feel a million dollars by turning them into pinup girls! Nothing is more rewarding!! I also get to work with my best friend my mum every day!

What drew you to "vintage" over other hair &/or makeup styles?
It was completely natural step for me as I was born into the vintage lifestyle and my mother has been a vintage stylist since I can remember! I've never known any different, I must of been brainwashed as a child! Lol :D

Which is your favourite era/look and why?
What a hard choice! If I had to choose I would pick the look of the late 1930's/early 1940s. I just loved the beautiful Fashion created by designers such as Elsa Schiaparelli, The hair and makeup was stunning to, I adore the beautiful structured Hollywood waves and the ladies always looked so perfect and polished!

What is the most popular service(s) from those you offer?
With the huge influence from the recent great gatsby movie, we have been recently creating lots of 1920s makeovers! From finger waves to Clara bow lips! Our ladies (and not to mention lots of brides too!) just can't get enough of the gatsby look! Glasgow has been taken over by gorgeous flapper girls! Lol

If you could style anyone past or present who would it be?
This one is easy! It would definitely be my idol the famous Betty Grable! She was just gorgeous! She loved her hair to be very avant grade for the time and her famous poodle up do is one of my all time favourite styles! And not to mention those famous million dollar pins!

How would you like to see your business grow & the Vintage Industry develop over the coming year(s)?
As we are a family business I would love to continue to turn all the ladies of Glasgow in to Hollywood starlets and I when I have little ones of my own I plan to pass my business on to them! I would love to see the vintage industry become more popular so there can be more wonderful vintage events such as the Haworth 1940s weekend in Yorkshire!

I'd like thank my dad for entering me into this competition! He has supported me and has had total faith in our wee business! I'm very excited and scared to be apart of it!!
