What is your most popular product/service?

Vintage Hen Parties — Vintage Makeover & Styling, Dress Up Photoshoots, Dance workshops (Charleston, Lindy Hop, Jive and Northern Soul), Craft workshops, Vintage Cocktail Parties.

What inspired you to launch this as your business?

I've worked in the event management industry for over ten years and have a huge passion for organising unique and creative events, so after moving up to Scotland four years ago I thought it was the perfect opportunity to launch my own business where I could combine my love for vintage with organising events. The vintage scene is so popular in Scotland and I found the concept of vintage hen parties and workshops the ideal events business to launch, as well as the vintage event styling and prop hire and its been a huge hit throughout Glasgow and Edinburgh.

What drew you to "vintage"?

I've always been a fan of trawling through vintage shops, finding an original, one-off vintage item that no one else will own -and I love the fact that 'vintage' has a story behind it, be it clothes, furniture, beauty, music or dance and that's why I love organising the vintage inspired events as it gives people the opportunity to learn and pick up new skills that they wouldn't have used before and hopefully carry on using these techniques after the event.

If you could supply any individual, business or event with your product/services who or which would it be?

I really enjoy organising events for individuals who aren't particularly into 'vintage' and managing to change their view on it, helping introducing them to a new style and transform them into a lover of vintage. However if I was to choose one particular service I would love to organise would be a photoshoot using original costumes from Hollywood silver screen, worn by the like of Marilyn, Brigitte, Audrey, Gene or Rita.

How would you like to see your business grow & the Vintage Industry develop over the coming year(s)?

I would love my business to grow and expand, offering my services nationwide and teaming up with other vintage suppliers to encourage people to explore the concept of 'vintage' as there is so much more to learn and enjoy. Over the years of running events, it is great to see the different trends and popularity in vintage activities and its really encouraging to have a demand for my services, hopefully the more people start to enjoy these activities, the more the industry will develop.
